Steelers' Dunker adjusting to NFL speed

Steelers rookie guard Gennings Dunker is already recognizing the differences in speed between NFL and college players during team activities.

Steelers rookie guard Gennings Dunker has noticed that NFL players are significantly faster than those he faced in college. During non-contact Organized Team Activities, Dunker has observed that NFL linebackers are more athletic than what he encountered during his three-year starting career at Iowa.

"These guys are a lot faster than college linebackers," Dunker said. "They're pretty quick, so maybe taking a little bit different angles because they're definitely a lot better athletes than me." The Steelers selected Dunker in the third round of the 2026 NFL draft, making offensive line a priority as they count on young players to adjust quickly to the professional level. michezonews.co.za
